BlackBerry PABX by Ascendent

The Ascendent Voice Mobility Suite enables organizations to accelerate the speed at which they communicate and respond to colleagues, customers, vendors and partners. The Ascendent Voice Mobility Suite goes beyond traditional "find-me/follow-me" applications by extending the identity and functionality of the traditional business desk phone to any other device regardless of technology. By replicating an in-office "at their desk" environment, users can be contacted anywhere, anytime, on any device.

Remote workers receive extended voice features and applications on any device-like single number reach ability, unified messaging and voicemail, conference calling, notification, 4-5 digit dialling, call park/transfer, and more - allowing them to have seamless connectivity with callers wherever they are.

The Ascendent Voice Mobility Suite includes the following components:

Mobility:
The hub of the Ascendent Voice Mobility Suite; unifying communications with single number reachability across heterogenous devices and networks, with unified messaging and consolidated voicemail

Notification:
Provides broadcast messaging, polling, and reporting facilities to enhance group communications and collaboration

Conferencing:
Supports planned or real-time conferencing whereby users are automatically brought into a conference without having to remember phone numbers or lengthy passcodes

Continuity:
Guarantees continuity of voice services and applications during outage or emergency conditions using distributed back-up functionality; leverages the Ascendent Voice Mobility Suite to keep users connected, communicating and responding in real-time

Anytime, Anywhere, Any Communications Device

Ascendent Mobility is at the core of the Ascendent Voice Mobility Suite and it liberates users from their desk by giving them real-time, single number reach on any device. The Ascendent Voice Mobility Suite unifies communications across heterogeneous devices (desk phone, mobile phone, WiFi, and PBX devices) and networks (Traditional TDM and new IP-based PBX) so that users can answer their calls and be more responsive wherever they are in the world and on whatever device they choose.

Ascendent Mobility makes it easy and affordable for an organization to keep employees connected and responding to customers and crisis immediately. This is delivered in a non-disruptive manner by extending the identity and capability of the existing business phone capabilities to any other communications device.

With shrinking margins, organizations can not afford the cost of missed calls. Research shows that on average, 60% of callers do not leave a voice mail resulting in missed calls and lost revenue. With Ascendent Mobility, organizations can answer the call NOW and generate more revenue by improving customer acquisition and retention through higher efficiency and responsiveness.

Features of Ascendent Mobility

Single Number Reach:
Single number reach enables users to be reached on any phone immediately when their corporate phone number is dialled. With single number reach, users can eliminate having to give out multiple phone numbers and can be reached anywhere and on any device

Single Integrated Voice Mail:
If a user can not answer the call, the Ascendent Voice Mobility Suite leverages an organizations existing corporate voice mail system and eliminates the non-responsiveness that results from multiple voicemail systems.

Extends PBX Functionality to Remote Devices:
Ascendent Voice Mobility Suite delivers the identity (internal extension, caller ID, etc.) and functionality of the corporate phone system (PBX) to any remote device. Users can get remote access to enterprise dial-tone to place outbound calls to 4-5 digit extensions, speed dial numbers, or external numbers (based on user privilege). They can also access features such as call park, transfer, hold, caller ID, and more.

Simultaneous or Sequential Ringing:
Ascendent Voice Mobility Suite offers advanced ringing options. With simultaneous ring, inbound calls ring the desk phone and all remote phones simultaneously. Sequential ring calls the desk phone first and then remote phones sequentially when there is no answer at their desk. A hybrid setting can reach the desk phone first then all active remote devices simultaneously. This is a dramatic improvement over sequential-only solutions that cause customer frustration and call abandonment

Seamless Call Mobility/Call Reconnect:
Users can seamlessly move a call in progress between different devices and networks without needing to disconnect and re-establish the call. Conversations initiated from PBX desk sets can be transitioned to mobile phones; those initiated on WiFi or VoIP networks can transition onto mobile networks; calls can even be transitioned to a pay phone. If connectivity is lost (e.g. lost mobile phone signal) users can automatically reconnect the call. This further enhances productivity by saving time, and delivering significant cost savings by enabling calls to be transitioned to the most cost-effective device/network.

Robust Communication Policies:
Comprehensive communication policies enable corporations to effectively manage profile attributes and reduce phone costs. Policies can be on a per-user basis to better manage the telecom infrastructure and monitor communications effectiveness. Security measures can control user access/privileges; classes-of-service guarantees network capacity for high-priority calls; and call routing and restrictions can reduce costs by forcing calls across lower-cost routes. User Friendly Interface: Intuitive web and telephone user interfaces enable end users to modify personal profiles or enable/disable devices on demand. End-users can manage devices, preferences, and access converged applications such as conference calling, notification/polling, and tasks associated with adds, moves, and changes further reducing phone costs to the organization
