Good to know
Which network does AIR run on?
AIR SIMs run on the Vodafone network in the UK, so you get the same coverage and reliability under the AIR brand.
Do I need to add a roaming bundle?
No. Roaming is built into EU and Global plans — there are no bundles or passes to buy and nothing to switch on. It works from the moment you land.
Monthly or upfront — what's the difference?
UK and EU plans are 30-day rolling when you pay monthly, so you can cancel anytime. AIR Global is a 24-month term billed monthly. Paying upfront covers 24 months in one payment and saves you 10%.
How does roaming work?
On EU and Global plans you can make and receive calls to and from the UK while abroad, and call local landlines and mobiles in the country you're visiting — all included. Your roaming data (25GB, or 50GB for +£2/mo) works across the listed destinations.
Can I keep my number?
Yes. Get a new number, or port in from Three, EE or O2. Porting in from Vodafone is also fine and carries a one-off £50 migration surcharge — you can usually keep your existing SIM.
Can I avoid surprise charges?
Yes. We can apply a £0 spend cap so there are never any chargeable events beyond your plan. Your bill stays predictable.
Who can buy AIR?
AIR is for business customers — UK and non-UK companies, sole traders and government bodies. Prices are shown ex VAT and inc VAT.
The fine print, kept simple
We've kept this as straightforward as possible. Most of it is common sense — we just want to make sure everyone's on the same page.
Where AIR keeps you connected
AIR SIM — Terms & Conditions
1Who we are
AIR SIM is a Scancom product, powered by the Vodafone network. When you buy a plan, you're agreeing to these terms.
2Who AIR is for
AIR is built for businesses — whether that's a limited company, sole trader or government body, UK or overseas. By buying a plan, you're confirming you're purchasing as a business. That's it — no paperwork required.
3Pricing
All prices are shown both ex VAT and inc VAT, so there are no surprises at checkout. If we ever need to change pricing, we'll always tell you before it affects your plan.
4How long is the contract?
- AIR UK & EU — 30-day rolling. No long-term commitment. Cancel whenever you like.
- AIR Global — 24-month term, billed monthly.
Paying upfront? You save 10% across 24 months in one payment. Unused months aren't refundable, but you've already saved on the total cost.
5What's included
Every AIR plan comes with unlimited UK calls and texts, plus 100GB of UK data that resets on the 1st of each month. On EU and Global plans, roaming data is included (up to 25GB per month, or 50GB for +£2/mo), along with calls to and from the UK and local in-country calls while you're travelling. Nothing to add, nothing to switch on.
6Roaming
Roaming is built in from day one across 130+ destinations — no passes, no bundles, no fuss. The full country list lives on our website and may shift slightly as Vodafone updates its network. We can't guarantee service in every destination at all times, but we'll always keep the list current.
7Your spend cap
Every AIR SIM comes with a £0 spend cap by default. That means your bill is exactly what you signed up for — nothing extra, ever. If you ask us to change the cap, any charges that follow from that are on you, so just worth bearing in mind.
8Fair use — the honest version
The truth is, most AIR customers never get close to any limit. Our fair use policy isn't there to catch you out — it's just there to stop a small number of people from misusing a service that everyone else uses normally.
Roaming is designed for travel — business trips, meetings abroad, that kind of thing. It's not set up for someone permanently living outside the UK and using AIR as their everyday SIM. If we spot patterns that look like sustained overuse — for example, the SIM is almost never used in the UK and consistently maxes out its roaming allowance month after month — we'll reach out for a chat first. Nine times out of ten, that's all it takes.
If things don't change, we may need to limit roaming data, move the plan to something more suitable, or in rare cases, cancel the service. We'd always rather talk it through first.
One long trip or a heavy roaming month? Completely fine — that's exactly what the plan is for.
9Keeping your number
Want to bring your existing number across? No problem. Porting from EE, Three or O2 is free. If you're moving from Vodafone, there's a one-off £50 migration fee (it's a network thing, not ours). Timescales depend on your current network — we'll keep you updated throughout.
10Your SIM
We send eSIMs as standard — just scan and go. If you'd prefer a physical SIM, just let us know. Make sure your device supports eSIM before ordering. If you ever need a replacement, a small admin fee may apply.
11What AIR SIMs are for
AIR SIMs are for mobile phones. They're not set up for routers, MiFi devices or IoT equipment unless we've agreed otherwise in writing. If that happens, we may need to suspend or cancel the service.
12Getting started & renewing
Activate your SIM via the form on our website — it won't be live until you do. Plans reset on the 1st of each month and unused data doesn't roll over. We'd recommend renewing a few days before your plan ends to avoid any gap.
13Payment
Pay per your agreed schedule and everything ticks along nicely. If a payment is missed, we may need to pause the service — and getting it back up may come with a small admin fee.
14If something goes wrong
We'll always try to give you notice before suspending or cancelling a service, unless something serious requires immediate action. Reasons we might need to step in include non-payment, misuse, or a requirement from Vodafone or a regulatory authority.
15Our liability
If something goes wrong on our end, our liability is capped at the charges you've paid in the last 12 months. We're not responsible for network outages, roaming failures or anything caused by Vodafone or a third-party carrier. We're also not liable for indirect losses like lost business or missed opportunities. That said, nothing here affects your rights in relation to negligence, personal injury or fraud.
16Updating these terms
We may need to tweak these terms occasionally. If anything material changes, we'll give you plenty of notice. Carrying on using the service after a change means you're happy with the update.
17Your data
We take privacy seriously. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
18The legal bit
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
