Our response to the Ukrainian conflict

25 February 2022

In response to recent events, we want to support our customers who may have family, friends or employees impacted by the conflict that's developing in Ukraine.

This means that from 00:01am on 25 February, BT and EE mobile calls, texts and landline calls will be zero-rated (free of charge) for customers in the UK calling Ukraine.

Calls, texts and data for BT and EE customers currently in Ukraine will also be zero rated.

Some customers may have already been charged. These charges will be credited on a customer's bill if made after 00:01am on 25 February.

We'll continue to monitor the situation and review our approach as required.

BT official statement on the Ukraine crisis

25 February 2022

"We continue to monitor the situation in Ukraine very closely, and we're working with relevant government and industry partners to ensure we have full visibility of the latest developments.  We have been on heightened security awareness since the situation began to escalate, and we continue to implement targeted security monitoring and protections in response. As it stands, there has been no direct impact on the services we provide to customers. The international sanctions that have been announced to date have also not had a direct impact on our operations. We have detailed plans in place to protect our people and services in the event of further developments."
